The V-Process Technology: Core of Sustainable Casting

The V-Process Technology used by ASUZAC ACM is a highly refined vacuum-assisted precision casting method. Unlike traditional die casting, gravity casting, or pressure casting — where molds suffer severe wear from repeated friction and high temperatures — the V-Process uses recycled and dry sand, minimizing impact on the mold and significantly extending its service life.

This sustainable approach emphasizes the recycling nature of the V-Process. After casting, the sand film is removed, and the sand particles are carefully processed for reuse, reducing waste and raw material consumption while maintaining high casting quality.

Detailed Sand and Dust Handling System in the V-Process

After removing the sand film following casting, the dust from the sand is sucked up by a suction system and processed using fabric filter bags. The collected dust is then responsibly disposed of by a licensed environmental company.

The sand particles are poured onto the floor, where a filter screen removes burnt sand and burnt film. The usable sand is filtered through a sieve into a sand storage tank. It then passes through a cleaning and cooling system (cooling the sand from casting temperatures of 700–800°C down to 30–40°C). Finally, the cleaned and cooled sand is pumped directly from the tank for subsequent castings.

This closed-loop recycling system is a cornerstone of the V-Process, significantly reducing environmental impact while ensuring consistent mold quality for every production cycle.

Foundry Workshop Dust Collection and Treatment System 1 (Small Casting Line)

When the foundry workshop is operational, dust is generated from various equipment and areas, including small casting bucket elevators, vibrating screens, sand cooling systems, sand silos, mold dismantling areas, and cleaning machines. The highest dust concentrations occur at mold dismantling and cleaning stations. The primary component is fine sand (used as the mold-making material), along with minor aluminum particulates from cleaning and deburring.

Dust Collection Piping Network:

  • Dedicated branch pipes of various diameters (Ø60 mm to Ø400 mm) capture dust from each source and merge into larger main ducts (up to Ø800 mm).
  • The system efficiently routes all dust-laden air to the treatment unit.

Treatment Technology:

  • Advanced fabric bag filter technology with moisture-resistant polyester cylindrical bags achieves 98–99% filtration efficiency.
  • A dust cake layer on the bags enhances filtration performance.
  • An automated compressed-air pulse jet cleaning mechanism activates every 15 minutes while the suction fan is running.
  • Collected dust is discharged weekly and handled by licensed environmental providers.
  • Purified clean air is safely discharged through an exhaust stack, meeting current environmental standards.

Operational Guide:

  • Start/Stop Dust Suction via control panel.
  • Pulse Jet Cleaning runs automatically.
  • Dust Discharge is performed after stopping suction.

Foundry Workshop Dust Collection and Treatment System 2 (Large Casting Line)

System 2 handles higher dust loads from large casting operations (sand cooling, sand silos, mold dismantling, bucket elevators, and vibrating screens). It uses identical high-efficiency bag filter technology, independent suction fans, automated pulse cleaning, and the same 98–99% filtration efficiency.

These sophisticated systems minimize airborne contaminants, support consistent mold quality, and reinforce ASUZAC ACM’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Why ASUZAC ACM’s Approach Sets the Standard

ASUZAC ACM’s V-Process and dust management systems deliver multiple benefits:

  • Significant reduction in mold wear compared to traditional methods: Significant reduction in mold wear compared to traditional methods: Unlike die casting, gravity casting, or pressure casting — where molds suffer severe wear from repeated friction and high temperatures — the V-Process uses recycled and dry sand. This greatly minimizes mold degradation, extends mold lifespan, and substantially reduces mold replacement costs, leading to significant long-term savings.
  • Highly efficient sand recycling, lowering raw material consumption and waste
  • Excellent air quality and compliance with environmental regulations
  • Consistent high-quality castings with minimal defects
  • Sustainable manufacturing that aligns with global green standards

As a high-quality factory producing aluminum casting products, ASUZAC ACM demonstrates that advanced technology and environmental care can go hand in hand.
